An educator with more than 16 years of elementary education experience, Stephanie was a fifth and third grade teacher before becoming a school administrator. As an elementary school assistant principal for 10 years, she spent a decade working directly with teachers and librarians to ensure that today's best books are in the hands of our kids. With experience aligning instruction to standards and supporting teachers in planning engaging and challenging lessons, and in her current role as a full-time educational consultant and curricular-content designer, you can be confident that the materials she designs are what's meant for today's elementary classrooms.

Stephanie has an MST in Elementary Education from Pace University and an EdM in Educational Leadership from Teachers College Columbia University. A writer in her spare time, she is a member of The Writing Barn's Courage to Create Community, Julie Hedlund's 12x12 Picture Book Challenge and SCBWI. As a child and teenager, she spent every Saturday with her mom at Barnes and Noble in Bayside, NY and was an avid reader of Gertrude Chandler Warner's The Boxcar Children series.
